I have realized that there are not alot of main stream black superheroes. I feel like it's my fault. As an afrtican american artist I think I really need to throw out some awesome representations of black comic book characters that are not stereotypical. Pretty much the way that others unknowingly see us. Braids, dreads, fades with the parts in the side... FADES? If they can't draw black hair then were bald. It's done right sometimes, but not enough. We except blade, but look at that haircut, get out of here. ( Part of my anger is because I'm a barber as well.) But from now on, I'm on a mission to create "us" outside of the box.
